I know, I know. Tbh with the sounds of hardcore, bass, jungle etc booming from my son’s bedroom constantly i did find myself thinking ‘this is just noise, play something better’. At that point i think i may actually have officially become old. If he was playing EDM I would probably throw him out!! ---

Classic ‘British’ complaint from my neighbour: Started chatting to me outside our houses, usual inane stuff. Then says oh, by the way, have you got a 3D printer? To which I say no, then thinking he wants to use a 3D printer start suggesting someone who has one etc. He says no, he didn’t want to use one, it’s just that when he sits in the part of their house which is joined to ours, he says he swears he can hear me using a 3D printer. Translation from ‘British’ = tell your son to turn his fucking music down. It does sound like a 3D printer to be fair!! ---

My gf’s cousin’s son is into the tech/drop/edm stuff and is really enthusiastic about it all and is really ambitious and it’s not for me to piss on the parade because a. It’s not my place and b. He wouldn’t listen. They have to find their own way. Not for us to sneer. I’m way past all that now. You reach a point where you instinctively know where to find the good stuff and anything else ceases to matter. ---
