While I loved groove is in the heart at the time it’s definitely down now to a song I dance to with my kids whereas what is love still feels like a stone cold classic to me plus her little vocal stab wound up becoming a house music essential just like Alison Moyet’s giggle.

He’s not a guy who holds his tongue.
He’s fucking great. I mean I am sure he’s a pain in the arse but if he’s on your side game on… I’m on the second Brand Nubian one now : )
The thing about him is that-
- He really was at the inception moment of basically every important subculture in NYC post-disco
- People decide they have a problem with what he says and then say stupid or fake tough shit when he shuts them down intellectually and are then surprised when he slaps them silly.
He’s an endless fountain of knowledge and first-hand knowledge. His book is going to be amazing.

Yeah you can hear he really was in it.
I follow him on Twitter, he’s had a helluva life, he was in those Stussy ads someone posted on here last week, among the million other things he’s done, like an NY Zelig.
His dad seems like he was a dude as well.
Will watch that later when i got time.
