Popped up in feed. Good style.
When I first heard Gary Wilson back in the 2000ās I couldnāt believe something like him existed and was pretty unheard of. That first album is so unhinged and so cool. I think Beck was responsible for bringing him to peopleās attention at the time.
Bruce - Australiaās most enthusiastic drain cleaner. Ripper little channel.
Double space echo flex.
Same. Once saw a copy of the album in a store in London for £50 around 2001 but shirked it because at the time that was too much for me. Last time it sold on eBay was for over a grand. Jonny Trunk got one at a record fair last year for £15!
I find this very relaxingā¦
This is fucking mental in the best possible way. 11/10 on the costumes too
Missus loves her true crime and put this on last night⦠and lo and behold itās about the murder of Tony Pikeās son Dale in 1998. Much speculation that the Italian who got convicted didnāt actually do it - lots of grainy shots of the old Pikes Hotel, and irate defence attorneys and mysterious Germans hanging up on phones, and weāre left none the wiser
Not my musical bag, but, as a big fan of The Residents et al, Iām loving anyone adding arty/silliness into the world.
For those who grew up in the UK in the ā70s

This BFI Replay(er) is very cool isnāt it ?!?
Arrrgghh I feel Iām in a minority of one I canāt stand it! It hurts my ears.
I think the costumes are immense and itās a bit of fun. Feels a bit like what Battles were doing 20 odd years ago, without vocals.
Maybe a great novelty act in a little side tent at Glasto and I assume 6Music are all over it.
Smurfs were definitely hip-hop, but are they Balearic?
The Lomax archive on YouTube is a golden life raft in an virtual ocean of meaningless shite. A very timely antidote of the Good.
LOL. Father Abraham was a Dutch folk singer and The Smurfs were invented by legendary Belgian illustrator Peyo. He sold over 16 million copies of the original song. I never heard this version tough.
