Me too, very enjoyable.

The luge and double luge caught my attention the past few nights. Realllllly unflattering camera angles in slo mo ![]()

Queen of Chess on Netflix - the story of Judit Polgar’s 26 year championship streak - recommended!
Double luge is hilarious
I was thinking the same last night. They were alternating runs between double and single luge and I was totally bamboozled as to what was going on. I was expecting one person to get off and there were two and vice versa. Also, why do they have to hit the wee round thing above them at the end? What’s that all about? It looks so dangerous when they’re doing 80mph!
Women’s half pipe last night was pretty good. Choi Gaon that won Gold was incredible.
Careful now, it’s a slippery slope…
Men’s half pipe final right now is incredible
Small Prophets (iPlayer)
Really like this so far (2 episodes). 8.5 homunculi out of 10.
Matt Weston winning gold in the skeleton ![]()
Incredible performance!
He got faster in every round.
Yup, can’t wrap my head around how they orientate themselves at that speed in the air
Or make the landings after rotating through multiple rotations before doing it again seconds later. Amazing stuff
Always enjoy your videos @pacific.coliseum ![]()
IIRC there was a thread about this on djh. Pretty sure they were mostly bootlegs he had nothing to do with (as opposed to Maelstrom…
)
The Muppet Show on Disney
Joyful
Small Prophets was an absolute delight. Beautifully realised from start to finish, with writing from Mackenzie Crook that feels tender, observant, and quietly magical. It weaves nostalgia, love, and loss into something deeply heartfelt without ever losing its gentle humour. Thank goodness there’s going to be more. Thoroughly recommended
Neither do they ![]()
Well, believe it or not Predator: Badlands
Starts as a 2/10 somehow finishes as a solid 8/10
Nonsense, but decent nonsense to watch with the teenager.
