What are you watching?

Pluribus is great - as it goes on it’s clearly about loneliness, grief, AI and social media, and morality, all at once.

Train Dreams. Like a beautifully shot, feature-length, emotionally manipulative, Son of a Stag commercial.

Worth it for the workwear.

I remember this being showcased on World of Wonder’s Manhattan Cable show with Laurie Pike.

Is anyone else watching Physical Asia on Netflix? It’s an absolute guilty pleasure of mine and I’ve managed to get the whole house hooked on it !

Yes! My two elder kids and I love it, although if you took out all the talking heads and multiple cuts I’m sure each episode would only be 10 minutes. We’re only part way through, I’m rooting for Japan and for Australia to be taken down a peg or too, no offence to any Aussies on here but the team are very cocky!

A House of Dynamite on Netflix. V good if not a little alarming before bed.

Coming from an Australian:

Aussies are very cocky. Not one of our finer points, but it is a common thread

Good doc on Netflix about whether one of the most famous photographs in history was deliberately stolen from the guy who actually took it.

Also read comments about how “slow” it is. Maybe it’s the way my head’s wired but I’ve not cared about the tempo of the series once since it started. I’m enjoying watch the story unfold and that’s an increasingly rare experience in films and TV now.

I’ve been knocked down with a flu :triumph: and I can’t remember ever having The flu before even when I thought I had it and my Mrs saying it not flu all you have is a cold and she was right… But this is Flu as loads in work and around our area have it… I’ve been in the spare room all weekend  find myself watching food delivery guys on YouTube… surprisingly very relaxing and interesting…

I’ve had the same flu. I found a programme called Moonshiners - Master Distillers. Three people compete to make moonshine. Weirdly suiting the mood. :man_shrugging:t3:

People forget how slow Better Call Saul was at parts.

Pluribus has that characteristic technique of slowly following a mysterious process, while we, the audience wonder what is occuring. Better call saul did it well too.

Watching the current season of Pokerface and Pluribus, Vince Gilligan’s new show. Pokerface is terrific as usual, Pluribus is…a lot. Super intriguing premise, but I can’t tell where he’s going with the idea yet.

Watched it all today. It’s pretty grim. And why do a diss track when you can make a four part Netflix series…

Started Mr Mercedes recently. Hadn’t heard of it before. Looks promising but didn’t realise it was 3 seasons. Anyone seen it? Was wondering if it is worth the investment.
