I watched that at the weekend, really enjoyed it, the chemistry between the 3 leads was great and I agree about Giamatti, could watch him in anything.

It’s a beautiful film for sure. I know it was set in the 70s, but it actually felt I was watching a classic older movie.

Has anyone watched Tim Robinson’s The Chair Company? The first episode was so good I forced my wife to watch it the next day and ended up watching the whole thing again with her.
Wasn’t convinced by the direction it was going in the next episode, but that first one is worth it as stand alone thing.
Nae Pasaran is back on iPlayer. Excellent story and doc.

Boy was that grim viewing. My lasting impression is of a cast of people who aspired to fame and wealth whose lives were exploited thoroughly by a narcissistic vampire. A pretty damning testament of the entertainment industry and our society’s measurement of value and worth and what people will give up to attain them.

Pluribus - 3 episodes in and I’m struggling a bit. Is it worth sticking with? Just seems to be recurring situations of her looking incredulous/pissed off while something abnormal is happening

Me too. Did feel a bit slow but am enjoying the gradual developments. Just living in hope that they dont do a severance and finish with a massive cliffhanger at the end of the season.

If you struggled through mid-season/series Breaking Bad and mid-season/series Better Call Saul then boy does Vince Gilligan have yet another programme for you to struggle through!

I’m really enjoying Pluribus. I don’t think it’s too slow. There is a lot to take in, a deserted Las Vegas, highways with no one one them, lots of beautiful landscapes etc and then the wacky stuff like the TGI Friday gal flying the airliner.
I think it’s a nice change from all the crash, bang, wallop.
I’m halfway through the adaptation of Picnic at Hanging Rock, one of my favourite films, and it’s ok, a little bit of the dreaded peaky blinders treatment but still enjoyable.

Took a while to ‘adapt’ to the slow pace but I like it now too. But yeah better come to some nice dénouement!
