She’s great in that.
Kinahan: The True Story of Ireland’s Mafia (BBC iPlayer)
3 parter on the Kinahan family. Nothing new if you’ve been following this over the years, but a decent watch.
But the single shot aspect is an integral part of what is it, without it it would be a completely different beast. It was a stylistic choice that had a big impact on the story telling narrative.
Isn’t like saying Blair Witch Project wasn’t much without the found footage style filming or even maybe Jaws would have been rubbish if they had a bigger boat? ![]()
Seth Rogan’s new show The Studio. Fucking hilarious. Check it out.
Watched the first ep last night. Ace isnt it
Came to say the same. Loving it so far.
Currentty smashing through S4.
3 episodes left to watch tonight.
I think we watched s4 in a day!
Whoever recommended The Day of the Jackal - nice one! ( think it was Joe or Gavin)
Series 1 polished off across three nights this week. Superb!
What is this?
Shirley from Slow Horses
Took me a minute (three days)
Legendary character
Sorry, but I’ll never forgive her for trying to fuvk with the detectorists. ![]()
I find her mesmerising and cool as throughout the whole thing
Really enjoyed this.
Saw them at the big chill 2006. Probably in my top three gigs of all time. Superb.
Couple of decent films I watched this weekend:
Black Bag. Smart, twisty British spy thriller from Steven Soderbergh. Michael Fassbender and Cate Blanchett as married spooks trying to uncover a conspiracy. Tight and taut at 90 minutes long it doesnt outstay its welcome.
Heretic. Hugh Grant is great as Hugh Grant but with a deeply sinister side as he puts two yound Mormon sisters through a test of faith. Raises interesting questions about religion, theology and control.
Watched Gone Girls the Gilgo beach murders doc on Netflix.
Better than a lot of true crime docs I’ve seen …shocking 70s era misogyny of the police stalling investigation for over a decade
Reminded me of the movie Copland…
Is that about The Police.
Ba-dum-tish…
Sorry.
