Nomadland - Sky
Wow that was a trip eh, still reeling from it’s impact this morning.
Real film of our times. So many thoughts going through my mind don’t know where to start.
Amazon even more off my list than ever.
Deserved Oscar.
Rewatched Toni Erdmann yesterday and it still made me laugh out loud on a few occasions. Highly original storyline and characters. Who knew the Germans could make good comedies.
Enjoying in a morbid way The Sons of Sam
Quite liked Monster on Netflix despite the average reviews it seems to have got
Yep me too, halfway through it, i’d heard of the case before but never really dug into it & never heard of the Satanic Cult theory.
Got that on my list but not watched it yet, The Nightstalker & Yorkshire Ripper docs on Netflix are good if you haven’t seen them
The Guilt Trip - Prime
Seth Rogan and Barbara Streisand ‘Comedy’, never really gets going, not funny, no mary jane, something to watch with elderly relatives at Christmas. Two hours we’ll never get back. Avoid.
It has probably been mentioned on here already but just started watching snowfall on BBC iplayer. I am only 4 episodes in but enjoying it. Some sketchy acting from the Mexican family but hopefully they get better as it progresses.
I’m assuming you meant The Mitchells vs The Machines, if so thank you my kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Yes that’s the one! Typo!
Watched this on All4 this week. Won the Jury Prize at Cannes and nominated for an Oscar. A rather harrowing tale of a young Lebanese boy’s traumatic upbringing but very well done. Definitely worth a watch.
I was a mess watching this in the cinema. Young kids having to look after younger kids is pretty distressing.
Finally watched Hereditary. I damn near shidded my pant with that popping noise.
Eventually got round to watching Parasite yesterday. Blimey! What a film. Now I understand what all the fuss was about.
Been meaning to watch that but have also intentionally avoided it at the same time. Used to love films that scared the bejesus out of me but find them much harder to watch these days. Getting soft in my old age. I will force myself at some point…
Yep. Kids in danger or in unfortunate circumstances generally cripples me. Just checked the reviews looks like its definitely worth a watch despite how heart breaking it might be.
I know I can’t watch anything that has kids being murdered etc don’t really get why it would be entertaining on any level.

Kids being abused/killed
Animals being abused/killed
Finger/toenails being forcibly removed
Can’t watch this outside the UK, can anyone help me please ?
