What Are You Reading?

I Thought I Heard You Speak - Audrey Golden, about the women of Factory Records. It’s a really nice and much-needed insight into all the women who contributed to all things Factory. I absolutely love the label and their attention to detail with everything they released. Any similar labels with that level of dedication to the art?

Finished this (Bob Mortimer’s Satsuma Complex) a while back and really enjoyed it. Clever and funny, as expected, and pretty impressive for a debut novel.

Any recommendations for some fiction of a similar vein?

Have you read Limmy’s auto-biography, Surprisingly Down to Earth, and Very Funny?

I thought it was really enjoyable!

(not fiction admittedly)

I love that recent FT article on how only 1 in 10 people under 30 would vote Tory.
They have really fucked themselves.

Having a period of enforced rest after a nasty bike crash (Nothing broken, just concussion and lots of cuts and bruises!) and got this down off the shelf yesterday. Had the book for years and never managed to work through all the weeks and exercises, but it’s still super enlightening to dip in and out of.

Depressing but pretty balanced and frightening assessment of how things may play out:

Available for pre-order (or available March 21 in stores) is Richard Norris’ forthcoming memoir of a life in music “Strange things Are Happening”. I had the pleasure of designing the cover art! Can’t wait to read it, he’s had such a varied career.

Richard will be hosting book launch events in a variety of locations from London to Scotland and places in between which will involve conversation, signing and DJ Sets.
