Toby Frith from bleep43 has written an eulogy on his blog and it is very well written. I especially liked the part on Laibach.
Ahh I’ve not read, will get a copy !
Thanks to whoever recommended Damien Enright - Dope in the Age Of Innocence in this thread, loved it.
You know how to have fun
Dark times call for dark measures ![]()
One of my favourite books, I’ve read it too many times to count
Highly recommend Disorder by Helen Thompson, and pretty much everything written by John Gray.
Added to the list!
I’m on my second reading and only read it first a few months back.
I just started Irvine Welsh’s latest book - Men In Love. I usually love settling in with these characters. I feel like I’ve grown up with them having first read Trainspotting in 1993 and reading everything that came after (varying quality). I’m really struggling to get into this one though.
So so good.
The new Disco Pogo. A really good edition. Feels glossier too.
If it’s any interest you can pickup their Aphex book new on eBay for under a fiver (instead of £30 everywhere else). Wasn’t planning on buying it really but came across it somehow and thought I might as well.
Good read that. There’s also a decent doc on iPlayer about his life. And he meets a lady whose child he wasn’t able to save years ago and who blamed him.
It was on Amazon a while back ridiculously cheap too. They’ll nabbed a copy. Yet to properly sit down with it.
I thought this was really poor and easily his worst book so far. It just kind of meanders along.
I’m about halfway through the audiobook and nothing seems to have happened yet!
