There was something about its sing along happiness that worked for a brief period. Dangerous things those pills
I remember really liking it the first time I heard it, and yes, off my chops.
Yes. 1991 in Weatheralls hands it sounded brilliant. Today - not so good.

Ecstasy is a helluva drug
Sorry repeated Cobbler Bob’s sentiments
the wife’s extended family was in orlando. it was a sort of sweaty hell.
the family were lovely people, the grandparents lived in a lovely house, and there were good times to be had, but i don’t see myself ever going back to florida.
see going from Throbbing Gristle to Chris Rea
went last year & had a great 4 days in Miami Beach
Tampa was OK / nice - stayed in old town which had a couple of great restaurants but you got wrorried about walking at night the few blocks
But dont need to go back
We were late April & it was boiling ( pool was like a bath) so July / August
I had never once been until last year (company and primary customer is based in Florida) and now I’ve been in nearly every corner. Miami is fascinating, really singular, feels like you’re in Central America, which I suppose you are. Orlando is kind of a sweaty armpit. St. Petersburg is really nice. St. Augustine has that decaying swampy vibe. People generally lovely and thankfully I had no run-ins with MAGA types…
I’m reading Tim Weiner’s follow up to Legacy of Ashes, The Mission about the CIA in the 21st Century. Totally essential reading and 100% recommend from me. That being said I didn’t expect to be reading about this guy, very un-Balearic behaviour if you ask me.
Cafe del Mar-tyr?
Love that. Have had my eye on a northern soul night down here.
