What are you listening to now, I mean right now in this moment?

Gave this diamond a spin while I was cooking dinner (Thai fish curry, if you must ask). It’s just a perfect album, every song sounds like it could be a single. Melodies for days, a fantastic guitar sound and overall production coupled with THAT voice.

I never did listen to anything else they did tbh. I just didn’t think anything could live up to this 1990 piece of brilliance.

Very nice. I’d forgotten about that Joe Tossini LP. You hear those Ronald Langestraat LPs on South of North? Crooning is a bit more out there, but similarly, slightly odd jazz lounge vibes which somehow works.

Bit ‘pots and pans’ for me…

Oh bloody hell, forgot all about that album. We had this on all the time summer 1990. Hash and E adjacent also

The only picture disk I own. Bit too twee for me but a massive favourite with my wife

Gorgeous album, must dig it out. “England my country the home of the free, such miserable weather…”

Been recently looking at getting an original press on rough trade but the prices are silly but will keep looking. Hi fidelity an interscope off shoot are doing a reissue in the states soon on 180 black vinyl might be worth a ship. There was also a RSD edition from around 2019 on grey vinyl which people are selling for stupid money
I will keep looking though it’s a beautiful album.

Kind of reminds me of a gentle Throwing Muses, 4AD esque (won’t mention the obvious comparison) playing around with melody and convention and stuff. Will have a proper listen later

Would love that Chipie t-shirt

Loved Chipie gear for a period in the 80s. Have a couple of original jumpers in the loft still, one similar to this:

I did a student exchange to France in 1991, spent my whole term’s money in the Chipie shop in Strasbourg, including some absolutely massive trousers
