What are you listening to now, I mean right now in this moment?

WTF

“trying to sit through a meal of mustard” This sentence has been stuck in my head since I read it last night. Vivid.

This was actually my first time listening to LPD and was pleasantly surprised by some of it. Wouldn’t even know which record to try next since indeed it’s almost an endless discography. I’d hate to see who has more releases, Guided by Voices or LPD.

I had never heard of LPD before yesterday.
52 (!) live albums, but not one greatest hits collection.

Literally right now:

Slowdive – “Pygmalion”

Forgot how strange this one was. It’s frankly no wonder it was a flop.

streaming this, but just ordered the vinyl. a nice lil’ pop record, with all the nice morgan geist bloops and peews.

edit - not sure why i replied to @PeteDaFeet - didn’t mean to. this album has nothing to do with LPD.

new Jonathan Wilson album “Eat The Worm” came out this week - always a much welcomed thing.

Just been reading the Guardian review which is half ‘this is the album of the fucking decade’ and half ‘she’s ruined it now by having opinions’

It was a terrible piece of writing, hateful. I’ve found the whole situation around the issue bizarre. Feels like people are so scared of being silenced or branded a terf or whatever. Its a seemingly small group of Very Online men driving it.

This discussion could spiral out in a number of different ways, maybe it should be its own thread.

I agree, that wasnt my intention. Its one of the hottest of hot button topics and I usually steer well clear of it!!

New Chemical Brothers record, For That Beautiful Feeling.

Top notch. Delivered on the name. Tripped out dopamine rush of a record.

Was waiting to see a discussion about the whole Roisin fiasco on TP. I won’t say anything in this thread other than the timing for her couldn’t have been worse upon the release of what may have topped many album of the year lists and seen her go even bigger internationally.

It should be its own forum
I’ve got friends on both sides, it’s a very nasty debate (although it’s not really a debate)
