London 11 piece Baque Luar are a collective of female and non-binary vocalists and percussionists hailing from diverse backgrounds but united by their love of Brazilian and Afro-Brazilian roots music. Meaning āmoonlit beatā, the group combine original multi vocal compositions and arrangements with powerful percussive grooves.
Loving this. Immediate Bandcamp pre order.

hazy memories trickling back from the weekend. Had a bit of an early doors e-moment to candyman (some edit maybe which sounded amazing)
I see that theyāve got wyman back in the fold. Bit dodgy.
Have they?
He must be pushing 90 now !
Iāve listened to the track a couple of times and I like it, lyrics a bit so so but I love the handclaps and Keefās solo, videos great as well.
Iām biased because theyāre my favourite band ever.
Stevie Wonder and Macca on the album apparently.
Heās just done the 1 track.
Iām not a Stones fan at all but this isnāt as terrible as I was expecting. Could easily be a track from a 70s LP.
I canāt stop listerning to this, I think it might be a floaty banger (with more emphasis on the float), but Iām not sure so have put it here instead.
Lovely album!
still going through old records for a synthpop party.
Forever reminds of CJs after Occasions Sheffield in the front room. Strobe, smoke , no other lights & they had pushed pool table into the corner & put a piece of wood on it

had a roommate for a while who collected all the LPD stuff. he was an enthusiast - like it or not, i heard most of the catalog.
thereās some odd brilliance there, but i always described it as a strong flavor - i like a little bit now and again when iām in the mood, but too much of it (and lord knows thereās a lot of LPD to sift through) is like trying to sit through a meal of mustard.
