Just dropped the needle on Kenji Kawai’s Ghost In The Shell OST.

If you haven’t seen the film, or listened to the soundtrack (if anime isn’t your thing), I politely implore you to do so.

Tapping away on my keyboard, enjoying this rather lush soundscape from Msr. Rousseau, and dreaming of hazy Summer afternoons on the beach in that blissful liminal state :relieved:

Kenji Kawai is a freak of nature as far as composers go. Nightstalker and Floating Museum are both beautiful.

Played by Paul on NTS last week. Banger.

Edit: Dang, what a lovely LP.

my comment here made me think of electronic jam bands and this was sort of the high water mark for that, as far as i’m concerned. the sampled “people” choruses could go and not make the track any worse. pretty good hook tho.

Has this already been posted?

It’s very good, a friend just remarked that it feels like a collection of songs you’ve know your whole life. Just booked tickets for her live at Earth in September.

Old school disco/sleaze set from the legendary Monastery here in Seattle. A few friends of ours still talk about this place in hushed tones.

i ended up with a few records from the monastery - i’ll see if i can dig them up, they have the original “property of the monastery” stamp on the labels.

also got some “boren st. disco” ones too, but those stamps aren’t nearly as cool.
