Junior Vasquez mixing all 3 together was mind blowing back in the day. From the bongo and whistles to full vocals went on for another 30 mins
I read an interview with him where he talked about how having all night to present music meant that he could really try things like that abs stretch out moments. He also said having a crowd of regulars who could push the night through bits where he was experimenting helped as well. He said it like playing to his best friends in his front room every week.
I’m playing a 50th birthday party tomorrow. Planning to give this one a good rinsing.
It will be more ‘golf club’ than ‘sound factory’ but never mind!
