mood: placid optimism
As I complete what seems like the most meaning-laden sun cycle; heading for my second shot today exactly a year since we first sheltered in place and on the 15th anniversary of my sobriety. Playing all the records today that got me up and out of bed to be a good dad and reasonably productive human for the last year.
I keep looking at this picture of Broadway on my last walk in to Manhattan this day a year ago to retrieve 30 rolls of toilet paper and an iPad from my office. Not a person to be seen. It stopped my heart.
Looking forward to seeing some friends and family again and getting a slice of pizza in Bensonhurst. Sorry for the long winded post but it’s a big day and I wish the best for every single one of you.
