The Live Pa of Polygonia & Simon Popp at Draaimolen was probably the best act i’ve seen in a while. Completely mesmerizing. (Mama Snake & Darwin or Job Jobse & Donato Dozzy were great too). This is from their only album, Candid.

I’m such a numpty. I loved this tune and thought “he” didn’t play music like that. But I was getting mixed up with Anthony, the techno black sheep of the Rother clan. Thanks for posting - it’s great and I’ll delve deeper!

yes - this is where i first heard it - then did a backtrack to find the original ep. I just wish they’d put all 12 tracks from the comp on wax instead of just 4.

a good amount of time that i’m listening to records, i’m grabbing things at random and seeing if i still like them.
so tonight i grabbed daniel ibbotson’s “stream lines” on glasgow underground, haven’t listened to it in at least 20 years. it’s still good! and i looked up his other stuff on discogs and was sad to learn that he passed in 2005, from multiple myeloma. i don’t know that he ever made the types of records to demand a ton of attention, but he certainly had to be well respected and in good company, what with records on clear, GU, and fenetik.
