A sophisti-pop gem from Nirosta Steel - the alias of Steven Hall, a Scottish-born musician who moved to New York and became a close friend and collaborator of the legendary Arthur Russell. Hall worked on Russell’s disco recordings, including “Is It All Over My Face?”, and after Russell’s death in 1992 began Arthur’s Landing, an ensemble dedicated to Russell’s musical legacy. A new compilation, MY SKYSCRAPER collects forty years of recordings, re-workings, and works-forever-in-progress.
