Was just listening to the new Madonna. I liked the start, the suspense, build up, no mucking about “HOW’S YOUR EVENING SO FAR” (augurs well) - but then she starts singing, which sounds a bit offkey and loses momentum. It’s banging and I’m sure the staunch fanbase will love it but it felt like it promised more.

Years ago, I used to really rate Stuart Price during his imperial Jacques Lu Cont phase, a master at bringing dancefloor drama to unlikely records (eg the incredible energy on that Depeche Mode remix), but I dunno if she clipped his wings - or vice versa?

Tomora = Tom Rowlands of Chemical Brothers + norwegian pop fairy/singer songwriter Aurora.
