Nice. The Tom Sharkett rework hits the spot too.

Got this Amos Larkins II gem from the excellent Front Club compilation by former residents Boris Dlugosch & Klaus Stockhausen. An early Miami Bass Classic.

Listened on SoundCloud earlier, didn’t realise they had a YT channel too, shaping up to be a great little series, liked the E-Talking set too.

Still remember hearing it for the first time when Gilles played it on Radio1, stopped me in my tracks at the time.

A mate blagged me a 2nd weekly Saturday night gig in a local bar when I was still 17. Was always terrified I’d get rumbled. Used to play this track early doors most weeks. Long light summer evenings and the bar was all windows. Gone off the vocals a bit though tbh :grimacing:

Finally flipped this over and played the non AW mix.
*it’s like buying a new record without spending the cash😎

Ha! Don’t think I have ever listened to that side. Have on more than one occasion found I already own records I’ve been looking for by googling them and realising they were either on the b side or on an album.

This new album from Wet Tuna really is something - one for those who like a bit of brain tickling fun.

“Hooked in and humming, the band escorts the listener through six levels of the Astral Plane, barrel rolling through rubberized R&B, marinated psychedelics, and dub plate delicacies from the Cosmic American buffet - jams that swerve in and out of focus before locking firmly in on a dime, not unlike a zonked-out scan across a late-night radio dial as liquefied groove gives way to clouds of atmospheric dub, farmhouse funk, and deep forest fusion.”

i like the idea of wet tuna touring with hot tuna.

i also like the idea of the guy who updates the venue marquee simplifying it with “hot/wet tuna”

This is awfully nice. I like their previous records, but this one feels a little less zoned out, a little more . . . I guess one can’t exactly say “poppy” with this band, but it’s got a sweetness to it to go with the stoned quality
