Still working my way through Harvey/Wevvers. May well be overanalysing (as usual) but it is fun working out who played what. The psychology behind the selections, given they didn’t plan at all! Sometimes it is obvious, but then you get a total curveball like Astarius, which given their sense of humour could be either ![]()
It’s great isnt it? Love that edit of the John Farnham track about 4 hours in. Sure that was Harvey though…
I think it’s the Peech’s Balearic Bondi edit. He was playing it loads around that time, incl the London comeback at Oval Space
Listening through it feels like there is this constant tussle where H wants to go vocal and AW decidedly does not. You can feel the transatlantic ‘tension’ too. West coast freeway energy v a cold night on the M4
Spot on: Gothic vs Surf
Also the 40-minute freeform James Brown wig-out near the beginning was definitely Harvey
He played a similar James Brown wig out near the start of the October 2012 Manchester gig at Victoria Warehouse.
Loving this but no digital release ![]()

Weirdly I’ve experienced multiple James Brown wigouts at various gigs over the last year.
Must be something in the water.
The JB was a genius move mid-chug!
for some algorithmic reason when I play something on Youtube it always follows with Fleetwood Mac You Make lovin fun Trail mix which I always enjoy
Im back in 2207(?) on DJH with Lindstrom & PT doing essential mix
Anyone remember that bar in Hoxton circa 2011-12 where Bing Ji Ling did an acoustic set and then ‘Fleetmac Wood’ took over. Which I believe is when it got shut down because a neighbour (a doctor) had a word. All possibly on same night?
Your fave F Mac edit/remix is a whole thread in itself. In a crowded field, this is surely the most entertaining
