Can anyone comment on the best sounding reissue / edit to get (Kon and Amir Comp, African Shakedown, G&D Edit, Homesick Edit, Nigeria Soul Fever Comp etc)?
I play this every time I play out and it always gets a reaction. Love it.
The one from Ear Cave sounds fantastic. Itās definitely a bootleg though.
And to answer your question, I donāt think any of the edits do the original justice.
I was in two minds whether to buy it or not as I hadnāt had a proper listed beforehand. Took me by surprise how good it was.
Likewise. Even the repress goes for big-ish bucks these days :-/
Kon Amir comp with it on is a bit muddled tbh. But worth it if you want to give it a spin at home
Thatās really good. Thanks for sharing. This is why I love this forum so much music iād never find otherwise.
3 of band members are from my home town,2 I would know pretty well and the forth is Radie Peat singer from Lankum⦠I was out earlier and heard someone cover this song,
Forgive my naivety but where are you from?
That is spellbounding. Wow.
thanks for posting that!
This whole experimental Irish folk thing had totally passed me by until recently. Got the Maria Somerville album playing at the moment which is in a similar vein
