A great show from the archives!
Nice new Black Science Orchestra production. There is a good dub too, but can’t find a stream.

Been down in Edinburgh and Glasgow this week and met up some good old friends from our Optimo Sunday fundays, reminiscing and listening to old favourites.
So, so many, but this one just sums it all up for me during the big peak moments.
I particularly remember a Halloween madness (where my ex wife came second in the costume competition dressed as Frank Sidebottom, and this was played with a dude dressed as vicar, singing live, right in the throng on the dance floor.
Just one of those moments you never forget.
Nice story and what a brilliantly ‘Optimo’ track.
A big cheesy banger that had being hanging off the walls. The last ever Optimo was the sweatiest I’ve ever been ![]()

Sorry. Reply to an exceptionally old post.
Yeah, he really buggered that up.
Glorious days (nights, and early mornings)!
Ophelia’s was one of my brother-in-law’s night’s.
I tried to hook him up a few years ago with Rob for an interview about this (and Yellow Book), but he has absolutely ZERO interest in talking about the past.
The interviews are quite helpful though in reminding where I was going out in the late 80s and early 90s - my memory not being what it was for various reasons ![]()
Yeah, I did try my best, but for him it was strictly a business venture. No misty-eyed reminiscing from Frank, unfortunately.
