It’s a bit challenging with this cup of earl grey to be honest
Doing the Friday cleaning…
Jesus that’s mental. I really like it
Love that track!
An album from 2004 that still stands the test of time from Robag Whrume is his “Wuzzelbud KK” release. Just nabbed a copy from Discogs for cheap, as I’m going to play this track as my set opener at an electro skewed party we are putting on in a few weeks.
Got a Windowlicker vibe.
Whole album is amazing but Young Man has jumping about with your mates far, far too late in the evening scenes.
How’s that sounding nowadays?
Still a very quiet pressing. Besides Here come The Heads it’s not really very memorable.
Just picked this lush house gem up via Discogs cheaply after hearing it for the first time last week. Will definitely be getting a spin during our new year’s day event here in Sydney.
it’s all about Sholto & Mudd today
Nyabinghi version of War Ina Babylon
I didn’t know where to post this, but thought folk here might be interested. A message from Richard Norris:
“BBC6 MUSIC - INSTRUMENTAL
From Monday night next week (Dec 2nd) on BBC 6Music, Hannah Peel and myself present 6 Music Instrumental. It’s four hour long programmes from Monday to Thursday night at 11pm, delving into eight iconic music making instruments, tools and machines which have shaped modern music. From the Theremin to the SM58 mic, to the Space Echo, the 808, Technics SL1200 decks, and much more.
Expect tales of Russian spies, musical mushrooms, singing whales, buried tapes, choirs of one hundred thousand voices and AI generated collaborators. With guest interviews and appearances from Jlin, Brian Eno, Mad Professor, Marta Salogni, Holly Herndon, Roger Linn, Richie Hawtin, and many more. Tune in! Monday through Thursday next week at 11pm. I’m talking about it on the Craig Charles BBC6 show, tomorrow (Weds), too. Thanks to our producer Matt Mills (pictured with me and Hannah below)
