If you only have a day in Venice I would reccommend seeing the city, the sights and enjoy the atmosphere rather than pursuing record shops. Im a big fan of italo and cosmic disco and I had longer than a day and didnt find any shops worth reporting.

Same here. There is only one tiny shop but focused mostly on Rock music. I didn’t buy anything.

In this tiny cafe they were playing some records and they had a nice atmosphere outside the touristic craziness.

Was there a few weeks ago, Living In The Past was the shop. Mostly rock, but a lot of interesting stuff in various genres and all in very good condition. Way, way overpriced but, considering how everything has to brought in via small boat, is understandable i guess. Did think about buying the Donny Hathaway live album, but baulked at 100 euros (he wouldn’t haggle down) and also didn’t take credit cards.
