I like him but he reminds me of Jaja Binks, which is never a good thing.
Went down another rabbit hole via Lanier, about the interesting hypothesis we could be living in a simulation.
Then found this render of Walter White, pretty amazing stuff.
Great post from Kevin Maguire here on managing your media diet Garbage in, garbage out - by Kevin Maguire - The New Fatherhood
Excellent article. Thanks.
What dude describes is pretty much where I’m at. I highly recommend the use of Pocket by the way to save web pages that are of interest to you and have them available for offline reading. It really cuts down on aimless surfing. Also carry a paperback book in your bag at all times!
My way of just cold turkeying it is working perfectly… Post and run on insta and twitter (though answer people who have taken the time to write and ask you stuff or whatever in the dms).
I love how positive this forum is.
Who wrote it for him?
Not sure I follow?
Hari is a plagiarist, amongst other things. Its a beautiful irony that he’s written this book on attention span hoping that people have forgotten. Him and ethics are at best distant friends. I think he is quite a dangerous presence in the spheres he operates in…
Oh! Got any links? I remember him from the Independent about 10 years ago, always liked his writing
Never mind I found a bunch of stuff. Well, I’ll still read this book and make my own mind up I guess
Soz dude
No it’s fine I’m glad you pointed it out, I didn’t know
Very well put - I knew the plagiarism charges and had always avoided his books for that - but the vindictive editing of wiki pages - wow The tale of Mr Hari and Dr Rose
We did it !
Starting a month without the internet tomorrow. I considered exempting this forum from my fast but decided it was best to go all in. See all you good peoples in a month.
