i fuckin’ loved the lincoln high ledges (the red/white ones). i lived a block or so away from there in 91/92 and skated them daily. then, after basically forgetting about them for a while, came back to them in the late 90’s and found them to be one of portland’s most dependable and lovable spots. easy to get to, no bust, and a place where everyone came through. (edit: they don’t exist anymore - you can go back in time on the [google street view](https://maps.app.goo.gl/vqS26HSXFvWA55fZ7) to see where they once were, as well as the rail few had the stones to step to - i certainly didn’t) it may have even been posted in this thread before but silas baxter-neal kills portland center park (which i swear used to have a different name) in my day, it was damn near unskateable - it was so tight and crusty and it took a ripper like SBN to unlock the secrets. he also goes in on forecourt fountain (now called keller fountain), which is probably my favorite park in portland, it’s one of the best places in the city on a hot summer day. i did a LOT of mushrooms here. once in a while someone would dump a box of laundry detergent in it and the place would become an ad-hoc foam party. sebo’s last line in that is so epic - starting out at the stairs on the NE corner of the park blocks, down park avenue, hang a right on yamhill, pass the nordstrom, and then ride through the south side of pioneer square. i love google maps, you can actually check out the route!
