Straight from Detroit

Another Robert Hood banger. Could also go in the records that sound good at the wrong speed thread.

Not seeing enough UR stuff. Maybe I’m too off topic but there Galaxy 2 Galaxy stuff is just sublime

And if course the glaring omission here is this. Too obvious? Put perfect fusion of house, disco and techno

Hi Tech Jazz is one of my favorite records EVER

And this resonates on a spiritual level…

I’m a huge fan of Detroit music. Two things to add here. The new Moodymann album has appeared for pre-order in the last few days if anyone else has been waiting on that.

Paul ā€˜Aroe’ Barlow, the Brighton-based artist and DJ did a radio show covering Detroit Hip Hop a while back. It’s mostly stuff from the last 20 years of the scene. Right up my street. Thought some of you might like it too.

Hopefully this link works

Love Kev, probably my favorite dance music maker, but that is Santanio’s composition as well.

Often the non trio originals have been erased from history.

Michael James’ book will explain all, in particular the truth about the self proclaimed ā€˜innovator’

Brilliant producer

turn it up!

That sounds very Detroit. Is it produced by Omar S or is it the guy in the video image?

It’s another Omar S production
