Seriously fuck vinyl!

It would be 20 quid with shipping to my house. I am over in just over 2 weeks. Not against leaving it somewhere for people who want it. But honestly, the Musk edit is much better.

Cottonbelly’s tend to be great as well.

I think we have a winner. For this price, I’d expect Vangelis himself to contact me from beyond the grave to explain why anyone who buys this absurdity clearly isn’t paying enough in income taxes.

you could almost buy the CS-80 he used to make this at that price point.

Only €57.24 shipped to Ireland after taxes. For one track.

For that price i’d want a trip to see attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion and C-beams glittering in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate as well as the bloody LP.

If I like something a lot and it’s pricey I will still buy it but the prices now are getting ridiculous.

The commercial vultures are definitely circling.

Price aside that’s a gorgeous item. Who is the market for these limited releases? Uber wealthy sci-fi nerds? I can imagine the dorks driving Tesla cyber trucks putting in a preorder.

I guess so. 99 copies and there are easily 99 rich or crazy Blade Runner nerds who will pay for it I bet.

Obvs not going to buy it but I wonder if the pressing quality will be any good? Doesn’t say anything about that but from what I know most vinyl pressings (including mine) are pretty terrible

The vinyl isn’t for playing! It’s for putting on the shelf and staring at.

I’ve got this one and it’s immense.

The one thing you can say about the record for sale above for £2k is it will sound spectacular. That company specialises in the highest quality pressings and charges an arm and a leg for it too.

Yep that’s the one. Just a wow moment when I first put it on. When I have my mid life crisis and blow all my money on expensive stereo equipment, that’s the first thing I’m playing.

Sounds like I’m already well ahead of you :joy:

I’ve got this one too.

It really is an exceptional sounding record.

Glad I picked it up on release looking at the current prices.

Libraries like the one in Seoul and the one in Mexico City will definitely buy copies, and then you have the diehards who aren’t record collectors but rather completists for memorabilia related to the movie. That’s the market.

Thanks, I think that’s the one urban outfitters were selling?

Would love that but too expensive for me :slightly_frowning_face:
