Built this little desk for me and even though is not the main desk of the house, it kinda has become the desk for music related things and I like that is tucked in the corner. Kinda cozy.
“I don’t know what you mean” as the camera pans 90 degrees from the desk…
Unlike buying records, collecting tools is (mostly) a guilt free exercise and easy to justify, as in “instead of wasting time changing the bit in that router just buy another router.” ![]()

I have pretty much the same tools just after the Festool CSC SYS50 portable table saw. Very cool space indeed! ![]()

Have you got the side extentions for the Kapex?
I do have them and they are a great help. You can also connect them to the CMS as support while routing etc.
Green fever is a thing. I think if you can buy well and get use out of them, look after them then they hold their value pretty well. If and when I retire they’ll be easier to shift than many other brands or heavier stationary woodworking machinery.
I also think that the tools you use are as much a part of the pleasure as the final piece. I can’t separate the process from the end result. Might as well use tools you enjoy.
insert DJ tools joke here <
Fair play with the strong Festool game. I only wish I could operate at that level.
Is that your everyday grind or a weekend thing ?
I’m a furniture maker and carpenter so it’s all tools of the trade.
There are certain tools or systems that have literally changed my life in what they’ve enabled me to produce. I’m really talking about the domino and latterly the lamello zeta systems.
They’ve opened up so many possibilities for cabinetry and joinery in a small, one man workshop.
The domino really is a game changer.
Loving your set up mate.
Just bought the benchdogs rail square before the end of the tax year.
Nice! I just installed the TSO products MFT alignment mod. Seems really good.
