I record into Audacity (free software) using the iRig Stream to connect from mixer to Mac. The iRig was recommended by @MGG and is brilliant for my v basic needs.
You can use Audacity to normalise/compress the recording as required.

I record into a Mac via a cheap Behringer audio interface (UMC204HD). I use Logic to record then master it, then export it as an MP3. Audacity as mentioned by @elzorro would be a cheaper alternative.
Just need an audio interface to connect your mixer to MacBook. You can pick them up cheap for a basic one. Then just record into Audacity/GarageBand/Live/etc
Everything is plug n play now so it’s pretty straightforward.
Get in! Cheers for the tips I think I’ll pick up an Irig stream interface as they don’t seem too costly
Already got audacity installed too so should be good to go once I sort an irig
Do you use the iRig stream solo or the pro?
Might be an older version. It’s just called iRig Stream. It was £79. Doesn’t say Pro or Solo on it.
The Behringer I mentioned is only £79 think might me better solution in terms of quality.
I got one of these during lockdown for streaming via Mixcloud and recording.
Total budget job but seems to work well and is so simple.
whatever you end up choosing, just make sure it can handle line in levels, or if not, has a hefty db pad on it to reduce the levels. A lot of the common portable recorders are usually set up for mic input, not line level inputs, so you really need to bring the levels down.
I’ve been using that one too, great piece of kit and silly cheap
I run my din cables out of my Omnitronic straight into a Tascam. Previously used Audacity via my Macbook, but find the former better and giving a slightly deeper/warmer recording (imho).
interested to know what the new Ecler “WARM” sounds like, if anyone’s got/used one. i had the Nuo2.0 for a short while but had to move it on because it sounded really flat.
anecdata, but I recall someone in the rotary FB group sent their WARM back for poor QA (loose knobs). There’s a review on YouTube by a French dude, who supplies a download of comparison tracks played through the WARM against a rane mp2015, pioneer something a rather and straight through the audio interface card so you can make your own decisions on sound.
Nice! Have you got a link where that can be purchased? I have that mixer.
£20! real wood too!
This Italian company do some bits too
Nice one, just ordered. I did look at the Italian Omni one before but the freight cost to Australia was too prohibitive.
