That Incredible Bongo Machine one was a more recent find…love it
Didn’t know that Girls On Pills one, nice one…there was definitely some really good Italian progressive moments…

Wait a Week that is
Mark Seven played this beaut at the ‘star of bethnal green’ a few years back. I temporarily forgot I was in bethnal green
Definitely cheeky and totally acceptable! So many great Italian “versions” like the aforementioned version of When I Fell In Love or this version of Bladerunner
Loved the Creative label, this one was a favourite, which you can still pick up relatively cheap
Play this and there won’t be a dry eye in the house. Potentially for the wrong reasons

Side topic: there’s a general under acknowledgment of the key role Italian dance music played in the development of house.
It may be a given to everyone on this message board but as I made my journey in to house knowledge and started seeking out BMX tapes my mind was always blown by just how much of what I was hearing was Italo (and thus totally unknown to me). I’ve got 2 hour sets of Farley or Scott Sillz just beating the shit out of two copies of Doctors Cat etc and that was NOT happening in Nyc.
Massively underrated track, actually one of my favourite Italian tunes, used to play the accapella of Do you want it right now over it, place went mental.
anything on DFC basically…
This as well, for the track but also because this drawing is totally my 90s rave doppelganger, even down to the earring (mine was silver, natch).
Another thread I am itching to start!
