I don’t like cricket (I love it)

Its part of their plans to get them out attacking because there can be no other other plausible explanation. Would help if they could catch a cold.

They appear to do neither !

True!

To me it seems that England, as a team are suffering from what they usually do when the players are put together in the national team( not just in cricket). Yes Australia are a better team, but not by as much as some might think.

The main strength that Australia have, as a team, over England is cohesive psychological fortitude. If the game doesn’t go well. they usually improve in all the areas that they need to. In fact if they have a bad day, you can pretty much predict that the following day will be spectacular. They have been like this for a long time.

Unfortunately the inverse can be said for England on the whole, and we have been watching this for years also. I do believe that they have improved in fits and starts, but in general it’s still the old between the ears problem that kicks in. The media will squawk and squawk about selection and coaching, but on the day the players win or lose alone to a very much greater degree.

Well that’s what I see anyway. Squawk.
