Frankie Knuckles Live from The Sound Factory Bar NYC 1995 by Robert Kostadinovic Leach on #SoundCloud
It’s a fantastic mix…I do remember being there mid 90s and hear pleasure principle think it was danny tenaglia mix
Elland Rd, he was a massive fan of Norman ‘Bite Your Legs’ Hunter, he loved seeing where big Norm had put so many opposition players in row Z back in the 60s and 70s
Morales played at the Faversham in 93 (when it was still basically a student pub with a big conservatory)
I think he told Frankie about how they kept their pipes clean for a perfect Tetley hand pull
I don’t think this was posted already…
Frankie Knuckles - Hot 97 All Night House Party, NYC 3-26-94’ (Manny’z Tapez) by Frankie Knuckles on #SoundCloud
Have often thought they should do something similar with Andrew Weatherall’s collection if possible
Yes, though he mentioned that he’d culled a good part of his collection a few years ago. But I bet that still left a horde of gems.
I was told it was being catalogued, or was planned to be.
I know one friend of his/dealer was asked to take away loads some years ago and AW refused any kind of payment! He was sent 100s of records every week in the 90s/2000s, most of which were never looked at and would have been turfed out on a regular basis i’d imagine (what a problem to have!)
And Curley was selling some of his records/books and memorabilia about 10 years ago as i bought one of AW’s lino prints off him.
I remember reading Knuckles collection being on display a few years back, hell of a project to digitise them all…
I hope something comes out of Weatherall’s untimely passing in a similar way. An exhibition or something with key pieces or something along those lines
Going in.

Forgotten how good that Factory Reprise mix of Surrender Yourself was.
Anyone know the last track with the Love Committee sample?
