Still kicking myself I never bought the Sean p one!
Late Night Tales & Another Late Night will still be the all time favourites for me but the Pacific Breeze compilations are also big favourites the last few years. ![]()
Love the joy Orbison one as well
Thanks for the reminder. Much better than I remember from when I bought it. I must have been in an odd head space because I’d kind of written it off.
YM’s stuff is made for odd headspaces ![]()
any recommendations for Chill out compilations? Of course, the Cafe del mar series is my favorite. I also like freezone series.

I was 10 and this came from Australia which was literally the other side of the world.
All of these songs have stuck in my head and I assumed were huge hits. The Reels version of Bad Moon Rising is the first version I had heard and still the best. Can’t get on with the faster original(!) should be slow and mournful.
Didnt think there was a jefi knights one?
The Colin dale one was huge for me some very special tracks in there - I also enjoyed a lot of the circulation one
You’re right! Ian O’Brien was the other one I had in mind. JKs did a Journeys by DJ maybe ![]()
Big fan of the ones released on Spacetalk:

I have both of those compilations.
Passion theatres Vacation Day is a hell of a track.
This is another Charles Bals comp, but not as good as the Meduse ones imo.
Just been reminded of this ( reminding myself of Samuel Purdy)
Ive a CD R burn in my massive wallet of CD Rs Im going to dig out
So many good tracks & nice to get a clean non mixed version of Jibaro

Forgot about that one, brilliant compilation. Must see if still got it somewhere…
I’ve been relistening to Vol 5 in the Cafe Del Mar series recently and it really is the aural equivalent of popping on ones favourite jumper.
A little bit cheese in places perhaps but there are some exemplary tracks on this one: Canny remix of Electribe 101 and Levitation’s ‘More than Ever People’ in particular.
Possibly my favourite in the series.
That was an after the afters favourite in my group.
