Favorite Sleazy Electro?

Been really enjoying slower (or slowed down) sleazy electro recently, a la Parallax Corporation and other IF/IG collabs. Stuff that sounds less nerdy than a lot of electro got during the late 90s and early 2Ks. Please recommend your favorites!

Example of what you mean? I like a lot of electro, but unsure if “slower” on here means 130bpm or 100bpm

Ugh, I don’t know why it’s not playable :frowning:

I guess it can be both, 100 or faster, but sounding good slowed down is what is attracting me right now. Here’s another:

I’ve been trying to link to “Slowflight Runner” by The Parallax Corporation but it keeps having errors.

Here’s another:

Another excellent example: Anthony Rother, “Sex With the Machines”

I’m still getting into the nitty gritty of Bunker Records stuff, but this is another good one. Ra-X, “Body Rock”.

Maybe this sort of thing works for you:

or the ever-reliable Gesloten Cirkle

Bitterfeld has put out some nice electro too

lot of this might hit a little fast and hard for testpressing though!

Anthony Rother Biomechanik

This is his best tune imo. Not particularly sleazy… more if Tangerine Deeam met Kraftwerk in an elevator

From a couple of years back. Was hard to get a copy on vinyl. Definitely sleazy. Fast slow. Or slow fast?

Not sure why youtubes aren’t linking?

No idea what to file this under besides sleaze. Definitely not electro but it does have that bassline. Bought the record when it came out and still play it to this day. Great tune. Underrated producer JT Stewart.

And here’s another one. Very Hague:

Totally. And almost instantly recognisable sound. Will still grab anything of his I see that I don’t already own.

Think he’s from Austin is it? Bill Converse is another guy round there making great records and at times electro. Great track but dunno if we’re on topic here at all though.

These look cool, can you please provide the artist and track names since these aren’t clickable? :\

some of the stuff on the new principles of geometry album would likely qualify.

i’d also recommend digging into the oral brothers catalog - cem (jammin’ unit) and can (khan) have tons and tons and tons of great 90’s era wild electro that didn’t strictly adhere to the 808-only aesthetic that tends to broadly define the genre.

Wow, so sleazy but trying to find the downbeat is doing my head in, haha.
