I ended up on a night bus in London years ago with another person with a record bag so we ended up talking music and he complained that he was at a party where they were playing smack house. I asked him what’s that, sounds interesting, and he said it’s like house but really slow, he wasn’t happy. I thought it sounded great. That name never caught on though.
