''heard this at brilliant corners in 2018. amazing record but played by some seriously suspect dj! they were eating sushi behind the decks and they thought it would be funny to start placing pieces of sushi on the turntables and open their mouths so that the pieces would be flung into their gob by the platter on 45rpm…vulgar ! also my glass of wine cost £78 ?! ‘’
Conjures up amazing visuals.
This is one of my favourite records of all time - I’ve only had the CD since release but there is apparently a reissue coming at the end of the month - somewhat limited. Discogs comment pointed me to Play Asia who are shipping to US, one of the few who are…heads up for anyone else…

Not necessarily a comment, but from a well CBA seller:
“Gonna hold off posting until Saturday, due to the extreme heat, records may warp”
haha I actually asked someone this morning exact same question![]()
Monday it is!
*update, tbf, Berlin today 1530, 35C outside, dhl drop a package off, and it was oven warm![]()
not so much a discogs comment, but a PM sent from some rando seller concern trolling me that i didn’t know what i was talking about when it comes to a fairly rare variant. i dooo know what i’m talking about. so i raised the price by $100. and now he’s stung because it turns out he wanted to buy it, of course.
i buy, listen to, play and sell records because it’s fun. poor guy didn’t know that i also think that being petty is fun, too.
anytime anyone lead’s with “not to be disrespectful”, you know they’re about to say some disrespectful shit.
The problem with Discogs is that the bad (or at less knowledgeable) sellers out number the good ones which leads to cynicism amongst buyers.
If I see a seller with an original pressing and the majority of their stock is reissues, my first instinct is that they fucked up, often unwittingly. Its quite common amongst sellers with a large volume of stock as they arent taking as much care with listings
It’s like the ‘negging’ dating game but for records
I’ve had this on eBay
Having seen the mention of Paul Young No Parlez on sale for 50 quid in the fuck vinyl thread I did a quick discogs search and found this underneath that release
Living in Australia, I have come home many times mid summer to find that the postal delivery person has decided not to put the record in my insulated purpose built post box, but has thrown it over the wall and it now is lying in full sun on a hot concrete slab., where it has been all day.
Buckley schmuckly! Missed DJing opportunity to synergise birth with this gem:
Who controls the aux cord in the maternity ward anyway!?!?
