Is there a dub on the b side?
That is so utterly bizarre. Poor man.
I remember all those stories about cilla black not being very nice. They were pretty funny
Reckon this belongs in the Is it Balearic? thread.

The original is one of my all time favourites, but this one is also now firmly in my wheelhouse:
Got a lorra lorra plays there.
dunno if posted here yet- I can’t find a YT link, but the “Momentos Enamorados” cover is ripe to drop in the nausea phase when the San Pedro is kickin in…or while doing house chores.
Suspect this will have been shared before but its bonkersness deserves another go round.

Snuck up on me on the radio. Hang on… Is that…
Not strictly a “cover” version - more of a “version” in the jazz sense.
I just heard “Chris” for the first time this week, after going down a Joe Claussell edit rabbit hole.
There is a remix 12" that goes for silly money, so I was intrigued to hear it as I don’t really know many Pat Metheny tracks.
“Chris” is from the Falcon and The Snowman soundtrack in 1985 and sounds alot like an early version of Slip Away (1989) - does anyone else hear it?

Pat Metheny Group (1985) - Chris + same soundtrack Capture:
For completist’s sake:
The Chris / Joe Claussell edit that started the whole thing (?):
Nick Holder - Summer Daze:
Have you heard of this guy called David Bowie?
Didn’t know that one!
Summer Daze, one of my all time faves on one of my all time fave house mixes. Thanks for the reminder, going in on this now

Brilliant, isn’t it? 7” looks good as well.
There was a Joe Clausell comp that had an extended version of Chris on it I think…

Which led to going down a rabbit hole of covers but this one well, hate to say it, but it’s not bad heheh. Great cover too. I mean it’s such a great melody that it works in any form.
from the same soundtrack (The Falcon and The Snowman) comes Daulton Lee, it’s a bit of a twin song to Chris and is my favourite:
I mean it’s no Cafe Del Mundo. (see above post)… This whole soundtrack is just brilliant. Imagine being in the Pat Metheny band just hanging out being dudes… What a video…
