Do you like DJ Sprinkles? Do You like Moodymann? Do you like Theo? Well good, cos this release by Traumer under his Marion Poncet alias is as good as all of those cats. Sublime deep house grooves.

Just in time for the dark nights.

Cosy stuff as always from HNNY
From the little I’ve gleaned Peter Power is Irish, runs retreats in the Pyrenees and makes the odd tune in Portuguese.
Love Cole Medina’s take on Ofra Haza (that voice!)
Nice - that’s how you execute an edit with both respect to the original whilst providing a unique take that doesn’t lean on the usual tired edit tropes.
More epic dark dub techno from Sa Pa.
New BPT is really nice. 4 strong tracks
A boat load of new Psychemagik edits
super dope
Watch this space:
A UK Balearic house legend and LA’s premier dream dub ensemble walk into a bar…
Kon’s just dropped a clutch of new edits, including this, yet another Sade rerub. It’s actually pretty hot IMO. If I’ve understood correctly, the music started out as a completely re-recorded version of Winter in America but when the GSH vocals didn’t feel right, he tried plonking the Sade over it instead. Works way better than it should.
Dream team!
The 7" sold out so fast…anyone here snag one? (Or an extra?)
These are made to order on his lathe and the site says it’s being repaired rn. Perhaps it’ll be available again once its fixed? Mind you, at $30 plus shipping… :-/
Maybe I should just order a lathe!
Thanks again,
Music of this style (e.g. modern balearic instrumental deep housy, etc) can all too often be the aural equivalent of flavorless paste. Ive listened a number of times and this bypasses that by a country mile. Listening in the sun on the bank of the mighty mississippi pretending its still high summer. Nice one.
Here’s a new remix I did for LA based collective Midnight Mystery Club. The vocal really reminded me of early Ian Brown so I leant into that and gave it a bit of a Madchester / baggy kinda vibe
