I know Jose played a lot of Jack Nitzsche, especially ‘Starman’.
In the summer of 1990 I used to go round a mate’s house to get stoned and watch Italia '90 games. He was really into film, mainly Art House stuff, but he was oddly obsessed with this Kevin Costner film. He had a copy of the soundtrack that he was always putting on. I remember him coming back from a trip to Ibiza and excitedly telling me about this bar he’d found that played Morricone soundtracks. That’ll never catch on…

one of my all-time favorite soundtracks. though i’d say that the lounge version of “shit hits the fan” by circle jerks might be better suited for poolside playlists than “bad man”. but, we contain multitudes.
