Should finish it Dom…

It’s the finishing I’m not good at! Got a hard drive chocca with unfinished masterpieces :joy:

Here’s a housey thing I’ve been kicking around for a while. Not been able to make a breakthough with it until today. Must be the sun’s appearance. Not sure if the burbling acid line and Vangelis style strings sit right through the middle section? Take a listen if you feel like it

slight refresh now i’ve got the TB03 werking…

Sounds good, I like that about SoundCloud or bandcamp, you can just keep updating the tune. Maybe next week add a vocal sample… Haha

Cheers - gonna try and arrange it now.

@30ftBelow this is the point in the process where it either gets finished or languishes in hard drive purgatory, right?

Haha, yes it is!

It’s amazing how ridiculously good something sounds in 8 bars but when you come to arranging, it all goes to meh! :joy:

I’m going to channel my inner James Hamilton here and say I like your jiggly throbbing, acidically twittering synth line accompanied by that vigorously haunting vocal snatch!

Look forward to reviewing the final cut :sunglasses:

Some of the best advice I read on that is to layer in a tune you like and reference that as you arrange. Works well for dance stuff with not a lot going on.

As an aside - apparently James Hamilton was taken to Spectrum at the peak of Acid House.

Hanging out in the booth, he was asked his opinion:

“Darling - I’ve heard the crunch of amphetamines on the dance floor before…”

I’ve heard this before, but never employed the technique… maybe I should!

I loved the new Coyote single so asked the label if I could remix it. Never done a remix before. Tried to do an ambient/chilled take on it.

Grab it free, here (& buy the original - it’s ace)

Hey all,

I’ve decided to take a leap of faith and set up a label to release my own music.
It’s going to be an organic process, releasing tracks inspired by what I’m feeling at that moment in time, ambient, downtempo, dream, deep, acid house.

The label is called Lone Saxon and have my first release on the 25th of this month. It’s inspired by the Italian/Rimini House/Dream House days of the early 90’s taking inspiration from mixes by Ricky Montanari and clubs like Ethos Mama Club and Club dei Nove Nove.

I’ve set up a Bandcamp page and the release is on pre order.
Starting from scratch, so if you’re feeling it a follow or purchase would be greatly appreciated.

You can check out 2 min previews of the EP here.

thanks
