Anti War Pro Peace dance music?

Something which perfectly fits the bill, which I only have in the form of a low bitrate file, unfortunately:

It’s all back to his place at the end of the night
Yo, they could settle wars with this
If only they will imagine the worlds
Leaders on pills, then imagine the morning after
Wars causing disaster, don’t talk to me, I don’t know ya
But this ain’t tomorrow, for now, I still love ya

Good catch, and great lyrics by Mr Skinner of course

it wasn’t subtle but I think Skinner captured that druggy naivety really well, in a way a lot of the earlier, more vacuous acid house records didn’t. Because he adopted this sort of cartoon persona people didn’t really take him seriously, whereas I thought there was a weary melancholy there that differed from the earlier euphoria

possibly a bit obvious but Buffalo Springfield For what it’s worth is probably my fave peace record. Found my way there via Oui 3, who I guess are chiefly remembered for the immortal line you’ll never get to heaven with an AK47

Not strictly dance music but pretty funky

Think this guy was in the Guinness Book Of Records as the world’s fastest rapper when this was recorded, about the war in the Balkans in the early 90s apparently.

I have fond memories of the Oui 3 version, but it has been too long since I heard it last, has it aged well…?

Wasn’t familiar with this version, it’s great, thank you!

Edwin lived in Nottingham in his later years. Gutted at the thought I could have knocked on his door & said told Mr Starr how much I loved his music
They did a mural
