Used to travel up to London with Mum, in the early 80s when I was a kid. We’d head over to Groove Records. Mum would stand chatting to Jean while I flicked through the racks.

I have a strong memory of ‘Wuf Ticket - The Key’ blasting out of the shop’s speakers and needing to add it to my pile instantly. It was the first time I saw FK’s name on the label. I don’t think I thought it at the time, but sooner or later I was buying everything he touched on sight.

Simpler times.
