Back on it!
Remember seeing them at the Town and Country in ‘89.
Strobes on continuously for the entire show. Amazed I didn’t have a seizure
I’ll put this in the reading thread too. This is an essential music book. And a great snapshot of life in the U.K. in the 1980s.
The title refers to him playing a gig whilst tripping and thinking he was playing with three left hands.
I just came across some of the old tapes I recorded as a kid. 1990-‘93ish (18-21 year old).
Pre-Spotify!
For a second I thought you were referring to the Muppets above!
Beautiful!
The guys that were making the music were doing the beautiful stuff. I was just feeling “Inspired” - and connected. Let’s hear it for connections!

Still make tapes for (some) people. My youngest got into the Walkman through Guardians of the Galaxy, and I made one for my gf. It was basically the only way I knew how to (probably not) impress a girl I fancied at school. I love the whole of it, from the time limit, to the sound of tape, to doing the artwork by hand. I’m getting her a Boombox for her birthday. She got me a cracking circa 1984 Teasmade in the original box. I had been after one for a while and she got one in great condition. It does wake you up to what sounds like the Chernobyl explosion and meltdown have just happened recently with a big light and terrifying alarm. Worth it when you have the electric blanket on a pot of tea.
I think we may have had the same model - it could wake the dead!
