A still from John Carpenter’s Escape from Las Vegas
it felt like new year was running late this year
I used to walk under that bridge every morning when i worked at BT by Preston Park.
Did he run a clothes shop in Hereford in 90s?
Yes - Jingo
That viaduct one is at the bottom of my road. Beautiful day for it.
My son works there now (that building anyway)
Knew it, I couldn’t place his face! My other half is a Herefordian, got a bunch of mates who are too. Went in that shop quite often over the years. Did you ever meet a lad called Andy who used to go out with them?
A shot from the Dune buggy on the way back across the playa from yesterday’s boat party here in Brazil. Its gets pretty dystopian once the sun goes down out there. Mad Max scenes
It’s a lovely part of the world. We’re seriously thinking about buying something in Hove for our retirement.
Lived in Hove before Covid cannot wait to move back that way. Love Brighton.
Fond memories of Hove. Family roots in Sussex + met my missus in 2014 by sheer chance at the Cooper’s Cask, a tiny pub who did a mean Sunday roast. KIW was djing and beckoned me over and asked me to stand in the way and protect him from a woman who was haranguing him for Bob Dylan. And then we got talking and the rest, history etc. There was also the Bali Brasserie down the road which was this very retro place which time had forgotten, with Elvis impersonators and 80s chrome fittings everywhere. There were a few other good spots on Brunswick Terrace too. If ever we move back, it would deffo be our first port of call.
Bali Brasserie, what a strange place. Lovely owners though.
I hate myself for saying it, and no-one cares, but Brighton & Hove are two very different places. I get the heebie-jeebies crossing the border.
Nah looks rubbish.
EVERYONE in freezing UK hates you
