Almost looked real!
It was very well done, wasn’t it?
Proper!
Interrail some of the best times I ever had…
Love this.
Same! The year I left school, 1991 we Inter-Railed round Europe. It was so ace. We felt so free! Sat in Barcelona train station and dropped the big red euro train timetable book on the deck and went to wherever it fell open. It was Rimini and we went to Barcelona Club (on the front near Cellophane) as a tribute almost. Didn’t have digs so slept on the benches on the beach while our stuff was in the station lockers. Happy days
Centre Court last Wednesday. Public ballot came good so me and Mrs Chris spent the day in these seats. Other highlights was Josephine Bouchon for dinner Tuesday and The Devonshire for lunch Friday. Both excellent. Fab few days!
Lol we booked hostels over the phone and always seemed to arrive a day or two early, went to all the big skate comps 1989&90… fireworks, porn mags, pellet guns, flick knives getting cans of beer everywhere no questions… Going asleep in dorms waking up Room full of strangers and always one guy playing a guitar…
haven’t paid much attention to the tennis over the last few years, but apparently my ex is friends with the navarro family and used to drive young emma to her tennis lessons. they were ecstatic over her win over coco gauff, so i watched the match yesterday and she ran into an italian buzzsaw - jasmine paolini was on fire and could not be denied.
We watched Emma Navarro on CC, she was amazing
You want to have seen the place we stayed in Barcelona. Holy shit, was like Midnight Express
Think the most expensive place we stayed was £13 in Lyon and it was good,we went to Marseille from there and it was crazy…
Nowhere was too expensive, Ideal Camping outside Nice was murder. Cheap, but pitching a tent in ground that resembled a salt plain was no joke The hostal in Milan run by nuns that had a 11pm curfew, obviously we violated that, scaled the wall, hammered on cheap Italian beer. Sleeping rough in Cologne, Rimini and Amsterdam were also all no jokes
The night trains sleeper carriages were exactly like in the movies, lots of weirdos mooching around sticking their heads in the door don’t think we even slept come to think of it… I have some photos somewhere of one of the trips I must dig them out…I remember buying loads of Fila gear in Paris, still have a few bits that My daughter wears…
