Meade ETX 90, I bought one of the first models in 96. I’m sure they’ve come a long way since but I loved mine. I photographed the eclipse in 99 through it, plus eclipses of the moon over the chamonix valley, comet Hale-Bopp, C-beams off the shoulder of Orion…sorry, I mean, it’s great. Very portable, easy to use and will further open up the heavens to you. I should dig mine out.

This was the kind of shit that turned me, 180, from a maths hater to doing a maths degree. The scales of going from the nucleus of an atom, to the observable Universe is mind boggling - those shifts in scale give me intellectual vertigo.
