Nice one Andrew. How are you doing? Long time…
Thats a really good track
A brilliant read, i can identify with loads of those time lines, experiences clubs and pubs.
Shoreditch and Hoxton of that period, it really felt like you were in the middle of something. Pretty depressing now to go through the place on the bus and see what a Saturday night now looks like. Hopefully, there is that sort of scene and energy happening in some God forsaken corner of London that i’m nowhere near young, brave or edgy enough to go to.
On a separate note, I got together with my now wife in 2012. We’re pretty certain that we might have been in clubs like the 333 and Herbal on exactly the same nights in that 1999/2004 period. The lines you use, “There were moments when you would see a girl and fall instantly in chemical love and feel self-consciously conflicted between talking and not freaking her out. More often than not shyness won out.” may well have applied.
Completely forgot I own that a:xus album thanks for the reminder!
Those A:xus hi hats perfect to get the blood coursing again, great record.
Love the responses in this thread, I think that melodic acid is the right vibe for the sunrise mornings.
My pick would be this one, give a little breather to the dancefloor and then build it up.
And sounds amazing out loud on a good system.
Love that
Sure does that kick drum on a good system is incredible!
any time is a good time for this one.
I love this song, but I miss the vocal here. I would lose my shit if I hear this at 8am
I’d never heard the vocal until this morning when I was searching on YouTube to post this version.
